The Department of Neurology at the Medical University of Graz is dedicated to advancing the understanding, early detection, and effective treatment of neurological disorders through excellence in clinical care, innovative research, and high-quality teaching.

At the core of our work are our patients. We combine state-of-the-art diagnostic methods with evidence-based therapies and an interdisciplinary approach to provide individualized care at the highest standard.

Our research focuses on the mechanisms, early identification, and progression of neurological diseases across the lifespan. 

 By integrating multimodal approaches—including neuroimaging, neuropsychology, digital biomarkers, and artificial intelligence—we aim to drive the development of personalized medicine and foster translational innovation.
